Stumpy Bean Coffee Co. was founded in Canyon Lake, CA with a passion for exceptional coffee, sustainable practices, and a little inspiration from two beloved corgis, Apollo and Gemini.
It all started with our corgis—with their short legs, big personalities, and an even bigger love for adventure. Inspired by their loyal companion’s playful energy and the way a good cup of coffee fuels life’s moments, the idea for Stumpy Bean Coffee Co. took shape. But this wasn’t going to be just another coffee brand—it had to be something more.
Stumpy Bean Coffee Co. isn’t just about brewing the perfect cup; it’s about building a community. There was no craft coffee presence in Canyon Lake, and that felt like a missed opportunity. Why not create a local coffee experience that brings people together—whether at the farmers market or in small moments of joy at home?
From the start, sustainability was a non-negotiable. Single-use waste is a big problem in the coffee industry, and Stumpy Bean Coffee Co. is on a mission to change that. We encourage customers to bring their own mugs, compost their coffee grounds, and be part of a movement that values the planet as much as the coffee in their cup. Most of our coffee is sold in compostable packaging. Additionally, we are passionate about service to the community and, therefore, donate a portion of the proceeds to local animal rescue organizations, including Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue. "Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue is a corgi breed specific registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that specializes in special needs corgis from California's high kill shelters."
Every blend is crafted with care, featuring corgi-themed names that celebrate the fun, loyal, and slightly mischievous nature of our four-legged inspiration. Whether you’re sipping on a “Toasted Loaf” to kickstart your morning or unwinding with a “Dapper Dog Decaf”, Stumpy Bean Coffee Co. is here to make every sip feel like home.
